About this event Financial innovations have gained momentum within the last few years. After crypto assets have been born more than 10 years ago, evermore innovative payment solutions, such as Diem or other stablecoin solutions, are proposed. These days, also central banks have made a big step and are now considering to issue own digital currencies (CBDCs). This webinar will discuss a potential introduction of the Digital Euro and CBDCs.

Jonas Gross is a project manager and research assistant at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC). His fields of interest are primarily cryptocurrencies. Besides, in the context of his Ph.D., he analyzes the impact of blockchain technology on monetary policy of worldwide central banks. He mainly studies innovations, such as CBDCs or "Diem".
