The master course is partly taught at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and at the University of Ulster. The credit points acquired at the University of Ulster are transferred through credit transfer to the Master studies at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. In more specific terms students are awarded two degrees within three semesters (Dual Award). One by the University of Ulster and one by the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
The content of the master course is such that students acquire a sound and broad knowledge. The content of the modules ranges from the development of integrated digital circuits to looking at automation processes.
A master course, which is offered in cooperation with a foreign university, not only promises the students teaching staff who have a specialized knowledge on an international level but also makes it possible for them to acquire intercultural experience and points of view, which together with expert knowledge gives them excellent job prospects.
These arguments alone are reason enough to begin master studies at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. This course is offered in collaboration with the Northern Irish University of Ulster. The internationality factor together with the growing need for well-trained specialists at the intersection of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and informatics, leaves the door wide open for a successful professional future.
The University of Applied Sciences Augsburg is collaborating with the University of Ulster (U.K.) in this MEng program, which results in two degrees being conferred on graduates, i.e. one by each of the two universities. Due to an agreement with the University of Ulster students of foreign nationality cannot apply for admission to this MEng program at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, but only at the University of Ulster, where they have to pay the local tuition fees (currently 9,500 GBP per year for non-EU citizens). Therefore e-mail requests for further information about this MEng program from prospective students of foreign nationality should be directed to the University of Ulster and will not be answered by the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg.
