Content

 

This course is for international students with previous knowledge of German at A2.2 level. Basic knowledge of verb conjugation in the present and perfect tense, imperative, modal verbs, separable verbs, article declension in the nominative, dative and accusative case as well as personal and possessive pronouns is required.

In the B1.1 course, the skills of listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing and speaking are practiced with the topics "vacations & travel", "advertising/technology & devices", "life events and changes", "work & job search", "environmental protection" and "future & resolutions".

Students acquire global and selective reading and listening comprehension using simple, authentic texts.

Basic vocabulary and basic grammar skills are expanded:

  • Infinitive with zu
  • Subordinate clauses with da, weil, obwohl, damit and um ... zu
  • the verb lassen
  • genitive
  • past tense
  • Subjunctive II
  • Comparative and superlative before nouns
  • future tense

The acquired knowledge is practiced in various working and social forms (partner work, small group work, plenary).
