Content

„Fachkräftemangel“, energy crisis, digitalization - many current social and political topics also (in)directly affect your studies and your future professional life. Whether in the Q&A session after a presentation or during small talk in the cafeteria: It is important to be able to express yourself spontaneously, fluently and eloquently.

In this course, we will use (popular science) texts, graphs, and statistics to talk about and discuss current and controversial topics. You will practice responding spontaneously in conversations as well as expressing your point of view while expanding your vocabulary on the topics discussed.

Since the focus of this course is on oral production, we will also address various problem areas of pronunciation and intonation and use specific exercises to improve your pronunciation.

You are also welcome to bring your own topics from your area of study, which we will then discuss together. This way you can help shape the course content yourself.
