The Koordinationszentrum Deutsch supports international students at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in improving their German language skills.
Before being admitted to a Bavarian university, foreign students must provide official proof of their German language skills. The Koordinationszentrum Deutsch provides services relating to the necessary examinations. We also organize a number of language courses.
There are also German language courses during the semester that you can attend alongside your course.
The Koordinationszentrum Deutsch at Augsburg UAS was awarded the ‘Bavarian Minister President’s Prize’ in 2003 for outstanding service in promoting the internationalization of Bavarian colleges and for its support of foreign students.

Students with a foreign qualification for university entrance (e.g. High School Diploma, Leaving Certificate, A-Levels) must provide proof of their German language proficiency before enrolling at a German university. They can do so by taking either of these two language tests: the TestDaF test or the DSH test. Both are available at Augsburg UAS. The HRK-approved DSH test has also been available at the university since February 2005.
Holders of the DSH test certificate from Augsburg UAS can use it to apply to any German university of applied sciences.
The same applies to the TestDaF test, for which Augsburg UAS is a test center. Visit Sprachnachweis.de for an overview of the entry requirements of other universities of applied sciences.
Additionally, you can take the online placement testonDaF at the Koordinationszentrum Deutsch. This test can be used as proof of your language proficiency when applying for a DAAD grant.
