DSH preparatory courses

University applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification must provide proof of their German language skills before they can begin to study. You can do this at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences by taking the DSH test or the TestDaF test. You can also attend an intensive preparatory course for both tests at Augsburg UAS.

University applicants with a direct university entrance qualification can attend the DSH preparatory course. The examination of your international school / university ceretificate is done by uni-assist. Please note: the procedure through uni-assist is that you have to apply for a bachelor’s degree program (not for a language course) at Augsburg UAS.

Before applying, you must provide proof of German proficiency of at least level B1. You will have to make an appointment for a personal interview during which we will assess your German language skills and decide whether you may attend the course. Click here for further information on the DSH preparatory course.

The aim of the course is to prepare the participants for the language test within one or two semesters at the most. This in turn will allow them to quickly find a place at a Bavarian university (it does not necessarily have to be Augsburg UAS).

Applicants for a master’s degree program should contact the Koordinationszentrum Deutsch directly regarding admission to the DSH test.
