Students with a foreign qualification for admission to higher education must obtain certification of their German language proficiency before their studies can begin. This can be obtained through either of these two language tests; the DSH-Prüfung or the TestDaF-Prüfung. Both are available at Augsburg UAS. The university also offers intensive preparation courses for both examinations.
You are eligible for the DSH Preparation Course, DSH-Vorbereitungskurs, if you have a post secondary qualification, i.e. a qualification that allows you to study at university. To register for the course you must have an evaluation of your foreign educational qualifications, Zeugnisanerkennung or a Bavarian university entrance qualification. You can get this evaluation from uni-assist.
Before registration, Anmeldung, you must also provide evidence that your German is at least level B1 CEF, B1 Niveau. A personal interview, persönlichen Vorstellungsgespräch will be held to find out if your German is sufficient for the course.
In just two semesters, the course aims to prepare you for the examination and a swift qualification to study at any Bavarian University of Applied Sciences.
