Game assets are often divided into different categories such as static objects and moving characters. But what happens when static objects have the ability to reveal themselves as living characters during the runtime of a game?
The project deals with the conception, design and implementation of dynamic game assets of a fictional magical game world, which can influence the gameplay by their changed state. The work is part of my bachelor thesis titled "Living Artifacts - Conception and Realization of Dynamic Game Assets".
As a result, an artbook was created, which introduces the world of the "Living Artifacts" in terms of content and at the same time illustrates the design process. In addition, animations demonstrate the functionalities of the Game Ready Assets.
