Fueled by the interest of private and institutional investors, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum reached new all-time highs in 2021. Besides investing in cryptocurrencies, other investment opportunities are also emerging to capitalize on the development in the cryptomarket, digitized assets and the token economy. In his guest lecture, Dr. Jan Beinke discusses "blockchain investment opportunities beyond bitcoin" and explains the associated challenges and risks.

Dr. Jan Beinke is a Senior Researcher at German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. In his PhD thesis, he investigated the impact of blockchain technology on business models and business model innovations.
