Changing to a different university of applied sciences
If you wish to apply for admission into the first semester and a higher semester of either the same or a different bachelor’s degree program at the same time, you will have to complete the online registration on hochschulstart.de first and then submit your application for entry into the first semester of the bachelor’s degree program on the university’s applicant portal. Afterwards, you can attach your application to start the degree program in a higher semester on the university’s applicant portal.
Enrolment process for restricted admission bachelor’s degree programs (first semester)
If you are planning to change universities or your degree program, you can find out for certain whether you will be admitted to the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and if you can continue your studies seamlessly by taking part in a student counselling session.
If you apply for admission to higher semesters of more than one degree program, it is imperative that you rank these according to your preferences.
In any case, the Student Office at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences must receive written applications for admission by 15 June of each year for the winter semester and by 15 January of each year for the summer semester. An online application will not suffice.
It is essential that you enclose the following documentation with your application in addition to the documentation requested on the application form.
An up-to-date transcript issued by the examination office of your previous university (if you have studied abroad, include an officially certified grading scale)
An application for recognition of credits
A list of the examinations that you are likely to sit by the time you change universities
Details and evidence of the syllabi for the semesters completed thus far

If you have not yet deregistered, an up-to-date verification from the examination office at your current university of applied sciences that there are no pending proceedings that could result in your being unable to complete the degree program (e.g. an ongoing appeal procedure)
Details and evidence of the total number of ECTS credits obtained thus far
The examination board of a degree program is responsible for making decisions on the transfer of course credits. Periods of study, academic work and credits are taken into account by other universities of applied sciences or when there is a change of degree program, provided there is equivalence. This is the case when the periods and credits are consistent, in terms of content and scope, with the current course of study at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences.
Only the ECTS credits awarded for the subjects and modules detailed in the university catalogue and examination regulations of the relevant degree program will be transferred.
